Reverse description At the centre of the field, an ornate khukuri (traditional Nepali dagger) is depicted vertically, flanked symmetrically on each side by a descending floral garland, the garlands arching outward from the top and meeting at the lower portion of the blade. Below this central device, Devanagari inscriptions in two lines read 'Pachis Rupaiyan' (Twenty-Five Rupees) and 'Nepal'. The central motif is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a stylised lotus-petal border divided into scalloped segments, each containing Devanagari script characters. A further beaded border frames the entire design at the rim.
