The 25 Rupee denomination has occupied an awkward middle position in Seychellois currency for decades — too large for daily small transactions, too small for significant ones. Thomas De La Rue has printed Seychelles notes continuously since the colonial period, giving the series an unusual printer continuity across independence and multiple currency reforms.
