Aanvullende informatie

Mikhail Frunze died in October 1925 on the operating table during a stomach surgery ordered by Stalin — a death widely suspected to be assassination by enforced anesthesia, a suspicion detailed in Bulgakov's thinly veiled novella A Country Doctor's Notebook and later more directly in Soviet dissident literature. Transnistria's decision to commemorate him reflects the breakaway state's persistent orientation toward Soviet iconography as a foundation of political identity.

The Transnistrian ruble has no internationally recognized status; these collector issues circulate domestically but function partly as political objects.
