Obverse description At the centre of the obverse, the official emblem of the Bank of Russia — a double-headed eagle with wings lowered — is displayed within a beaded inner circle. A semicircular inscription reading «БАНК РОССИИ» (Bank of Russia) appears beneath the eagle. The denomination «ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ» (Twenty Five Roubles) is inscribed in an arc along the upper rim. Below the beaded circle, the lower legend bears, from left to right: the precious metal designation and fineness (Ag 925), the year of issue «2012 г.», the fine metal content (155.5), and the mintmark of the Moscow Mint (ММД).
