| 正面描述 | The obverse features the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, displayed with wings spread and set centrally within the coin's field. The eagle is rendered in high relief against a polished background. A circular legend surrounds the design, reading «ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ» (Twenty Five Roubles) along the upper arc and «БАНК РОССИИ» (Bank of Russia) along the lower arc. Additional inscriptions in the field indicate the metal content and fineness (Au 999), the year of issue 2002, the nominal weight (3,11), and the Saint Petersburg Mint mark (СПМД). |

| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts a graceful female figure personifying the zodiac sign Virgo, shown kneeling in a flowing, classical pose within a lightly ornamented field scattered with small stars. The figure is rendered in fine relief, her form turned slightly to the left, evoking an idealized, allegorical style. To the right of the figure appears the astrological glyph for Virgo (♍), serving as the principal identifying inscription. The overall composition is clean and uncluttered, with the starfield adding celestial context to the zodiacal theme. |

Part of Russia's ongoing lunar zodiac series, this issue corresponds to the Year of the Virgo in the Western astrological calendar — an unusual choice for a Russian state mint program, given that Soviet-era numismatic policy had little tolerance for astrology or mysticism. The post-Soviet Bank of Russia embraced such themes aggressively through the early 2000s, targeting both domestic collectors and export markets in East Asia where zodiac coinage commands reliable premiums.
Mintage for this type was capped at 7,500 pieces.
