背面描述 The reverse presents a finely detailed relief portrait of the Italian-Russian architect Vincenzo Brenna positioned to the left, with the inscription ВИНЧЕНЦО БРЕННА (Vincenzo Brenna) engraved beneath the effigy. To the right, a relief rendering of the Mikhailovsky Palace in Saint Petersburg occupies the central and upper field, conveying the architect's celebrated contribution to Russian neoclassical architecture. A polychrome decorative capital motif, applied in colour, appears to the right of the palace composition, adding a distinctive artistic accent to the design.

附加信息

Vincenzo Brenna served as court architect to Paul I and contributed substantially to the interiors of Pavlovsk Palace and the Mikhailovsky Castle, the latter famously completed in 1801 — the same year Paul was strangled in his bedroom there by conspirators who had walked through Brenna's own corridors to reach him. The Bank of Russia has issued a long-running series of commemorative silver pieces honoring architects who shaped St. Petersburg, and Brenna sits in that sequence despite being Italian-born and spending relatively few years in Russia before departing after Paul's murder.
