| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a detailed architectural panoramic view of the Tikhvin Monastery of the Dormition of the Mother of God, rendered in finely struck relief against a polished field. The monastery complex is depicted with its characteristic ensemble of white-stone churches, bell towers, and onion-domed cupolas topped with Orthodox crosses, enclosed within fortress walls. Below the architectural scene, the mirror-like reflection of the monastery is rendered in incuse, evoking the image of the complex mirrored in water. The Cyrillic monastery name ТИХВИНСКИЙ БОГОРОДИЧНЫЙ УСПЕНСКИЙ МОНАСТЫРЬ arcs prominently along the upper border, and the founding inscription ОСН. В XVI В. (Founded in the 16th century) appears in the lower field beneath the reflection. |
