| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle of the Russian Federation — the State Emblem — is depicted with wings displayed, rendered in fine relief against a polished proof field. The denomination '25 РУБЛЕЙ' arcs across the upper portion of the coin, flanked by a border of raised dots, with the date '1996 г.' to the right.
