Obverse description At center, the Russian State emblem — a double-headed eagle without crowns, scepter, or orb, as used on Bank of Russia coinage — rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. An inner beaded border separates the central device from the surrounding legends. The Cyrillic denomination ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ arcs along the upper periphery, while БАНК РОССИИ curves along the lower. Below the eagle, the year of issue 2006 г. is inscribed, flanked at lower left by the fineness mark Ag 925 and at lower right by the weight indicator 155,5, with the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram (СПМД) also present in the field.
