Obverse description The obverse features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle displayed, each head crowned, with a central shield bearing a mounted horseman, the sceptre held in the right talon and the orb in the left. The legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ curves along the upper rim, flanked on each side by a small square decorative device. In the lower field, the fineness designation Au999 appears to the left and the weight figure 3,11 with the Saint Petersburg Mint mark (СПМД) to the right. Below the eagle, in two lines, the issuing authority and denomination read БАНК РОССИИ / 25 РУБЛЕЙ, with the year of issue and the abbreviation г. (год) centred at the bottom of the field.

Reverse description The reverse depicts Saint George the Victorious in a dynamic equestrian composition, rendered in a stylised manner inspired by medieval iconographic tradition. The armoured saint is shown mounted on a rearing white horse, his right arm raised aloft and thrusting a long spear downward toward a serpentine dragon that writhes beneath the horse's hooves. The dragon is rendered with scaled body and clawed limbs, its form partially pinned beneath the horse. The design occupies nearly the entire field against a polished, unadorned background, with no surrounding legend, allowing the figural group to dominate the coin's surface.
