| Obverse description | At center, the Russian State Emblem — a double-headed eagle with wings spread, each head crowned and the central shield bearing a mounted St. George slaying the dragon — rendered in high relief against an unadorned field. The legend ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ arcs along the upper rim, while БАНК РОССИИ curves along the lower portion of the inner circle.
