Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse depicts a stylised representation of a Transnistrian postage stamp, showing the coat of arms of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic — a five-pointed star above a hammer and sickle — at the centre of the stamp design, framed by a decorative border typical of philatelic imagery. The legend 'ПОЧТА' appears at the top of the stamp, with 'ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКАЯ МОЛДАВСКАЯ РЕСПУБЛИКА' along the vertical side. The large numeral '30' and the word 'ЛЕТ' (meaning 'years') appear prominently to the left in the coin field, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Transnistrian postal service. The face value '12 РУБ 12' is shown at the base of the stamp design.

Aanvullende informatie

Transnistria has issued postage stamps since 1992, the year after its self-declared independence from Moldova following a brief armed conflict along the Dniester River. The stamps themselves have no international postal validity — unrecognized by the Universal Postal Union — yet the Transnistrian Republican Bank has periodically issued coins commemorating them, an oddly recursive act of a state celebrating its own parallel infrastructure.

KM#542 is a late entry in this philatelic coin series.
