| 正面描述 | At the centre of the obverse, the official emblem of the Bank of Russia — a double-headed eagle with wings lowered — is depicted within a circle of beads. The semicircular legend БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) appears below the eagle within the inner circle. Along the upper rim runs the denomination legend ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES) in Cyrillic. The lower portion of the rim carries the precious metal designation and fineness (Ag 925) to the left, the year of issue 2015 г. at centre, and the fine metal content (155.5) together with the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД) to the right. |

The Petrovsky Road Palace in Moscow was built between 1776 and 1780 to designs by Matvei Kazakov, intended as a resting stop for the imperial family traveling the road between St. Petersburg and Moscow. Napoleon sheltered there briefly in September 1812 after the great fire forced him out of the Kremlin — one of the more ignominious episodes of his Russian campaign. The palace fell into disrepair through the Soviet period before a major restoration completed in 2009 returned it to use as a government reception facility.
