Reverse description The silver field features a detailed architectural vignette of the Expedition of Storing State Papers premises rendered on a decorative scroll. To the upper left, a rectangular gold-inset plaque depicts the 25-rouble banknote of 1818, with the Au 999 fineness designation in its lower-left corner and the fine gold content 4.66 in the lower-right corner. To the right of the plaque stands a portrait of Agustín de Betancourt, the first director of the Expedition, with his name inscribed below in Cyrillic: А. БЕТАНКУР. The upper rim carries the curved legend ЭКСПЕДИЦИЯ ЗАГОТОВЛЕНИЯ ГОСУДАРСТВЕННЫХ БУМАГ, while the lower rim bears the inscription УЧРЕЖДЕНА В 1818 г.
