| Obverse description | At the centre, the two-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, with wings lowered, enclosed within a beaded circle. The upper legend reads 'ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ' (Twenty Five Roubles) and the lower legend bears the year of issue '2003', both running along the outer rim.
