| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in blue-grey on a lightly tinted ground, with an elaborate foliate guilloche border framing the entire face. The Soviet state emblem occupies the centre top, flanked by the year 1923 in the upper border panel. The denomination 25 РУБЛЕЙ appears in large letterpress numerals at left and right, with ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ spelled out in full across the centre; below follows the pledge text ОБЕСПЕЧИВАЕТСЯ ВСЕМ ДОСТОЯНИЕМ РЕСПУБЛИКИ.
