备注

The Republik Islam Indonesia — better known as the Darul Islam movement — was an armed insurgency that declared a separate Islamic state in parts of Indonesia beginning in the late 1940s. Its currency issues were produced without access to any formal printing infrastructure, which shows. The Celebes branch, operating under Kahar Muzakkar, was particularly isolated from the central Darul Islam leadership in West Java and functioned as a largely autonomous rebel administration through the 1950s.

Notes attributed to this issuer are among the more contested items in Indonesian notaphily — questions about whether specific pieces saw genuine rebel-territory circulation or were produced primarily as propaganda instruments have never been fully resolved. Kahar Muzakkar's insurgency in South Sulawesi was suppressed in 1965, the same year this series' attribution window closes.
