| Description de l’avers |
Central field displays the large Arabic numeral ٢٥ (25) in bold raised relief, occupying the majority of the coin's face. An Arabic legend curves along the upper periphery reading حُكُومَة عجمَان وَتوابعُهَا (Government of Ajman and its Dependencies), flanked by small five-pointed stars. The bilingual Latin legend GOVERNMENT OF AJMAN & ITS DEP curves along the lower periphery. The entire design is framed by a continuous inner beaded border, typical of the Ajman commemorative proof series. |

| Description du revers |
Bare-headed left-facing bust of General George C. Marshall rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. The portrait is spare and unadorned, consistent with the minimalist engraving style employed across Ajman's 1970 commemorative gold proof series. Below the portrait, the Latin legend GEORGE MARSHALL appears in two lines, followed by the denomination 25 RIYALS. The reverse is enclosed by a finely executed beaded border running the full circumference. |

Ajman, smallest of the Trucial States with a population barely exceeding 4,000 in 1970, issued an extraordinary volume of gold commemoratives in the years immediately before federation — most of them cynically produced for the collector and bullion market rather than any domestic circulation. This piece honoring George Marshall was part of that wave. The former U.S. Secretary of State and architect of the European Recovery Program had been dead for over a decade by the time Ajman struck his likeness, which tells you everything about the curatorial logic at work.
