正面描述 Central field features the large Arabic numeral ٢٥ (25) prominently displayed in raised relief. A circular Arabic legend reading حُكُومَة عجمَان وَتوابعُهَا (Government of Ajman and its Dependencies) runs along the upper portion of the coin, while the Latin legend GOVERNMENT OF AJMAN & ITS DEP arcs along the lower periphery. Two five-pointed stars flank the Latin legend at either side. The entire design is bordered by a continuous beaded inner circle and a reeded outer rim.

附加信息

Ajman, smallest of the Trucial States with a population barely reaching 4,000 at the time of issue, produced this coin not for circulation but almost entirely for the international collector market. The Trucial rulers discovered in the late 1960s that gold commemorative issues — regardless of local monetary relevance — could generate hard currency revenue well in excess of face value. Dag Hammarskjöld, the UN Secretary-General killed in a 1961 plane crash over Northern Rhodesia under circumstances still disputed, became a favored subject across multiple small-state commemorative programs of this period.
