正面描述 Central field displays the large denomination numeral '25' in bold relief, with the word 'RINGGIT' inscribed below and the date '1999' at the bottom. Two vertical sprigs of floral ornaments flank the central numeral on either side, adding decorative symmetry to the composition. The legend 'MALAYSIA' curves along the upper periphery in prominent capital letters. The entire design is struck in proof finish against a deeply mirrored field.

附加信息

Malaysia's 1999 Formula 1 Grand Prix was only the second time the Sepang International Circuit had hosted a race — the track itself had opened just months earlier, purpose-built at enormous state expense as part of Mahathir Mohamad's broader infrastructure ambitions for the country. Petronas's involvement as a title sponsor gave the event particular political weight; the national petroleum company had entered F1 backing Sauber since 1995, and the home-soil race was treated as a validation of that investment.

The coin was issued during the reign of the 10th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah of Selangor, who died in office in 2001.
