| Obverse description | Centered on the obverse is the national emblem of the Yemen Arab Republic, depicting an eagle displayed with wings spread, bearing a shield on its breast and holding a ribbon in its talons. The eagle is set within a circular cartouche. Surrounding the central device, a bold Arabic legend curves along the upper and lateral fields reading the name of the issuing authority and the republic. The dual date in both Hijri (1401) and Gregorian (1981) numerals is inscribed along the lower portion of the field. |
