| Obverse description | At center, a Cedar of Lebanon (Cedrus libani) rendered in high relief, its broad, tiered canopy and stout trunk serving as the national symbol of Lebanon. Below the tree, a bilingual legend arcs along the lower field: the Arabic inscription الجمهوريّة اللبنانيّة reading right to left, accompanied by the French legend REPUBLIQUE LIBANAISE curving along the lower rim from left to right. The entire design is framed by a continuous beaded border. |
