| Reverse description | The reverse presents a frontal architectural view of the National Bank of Egypt building, rendered in fine relief with a grid-like facade of windows conveying a modern multi-storey structure. To the left of the building, a large globe motif is depicted, symbolizing the bank's international significance. Arabic inscriptions in the upper field record the dual-calendar anniversary dates 1393-1973, while the founding dates 1316-1898 appear in the lower field, referencing both the Hijri and Gregorian years of the bank's establishment. The design is framed by a reeded rim with a decorative inner border. |

| Additional information |
The National Bank of Egypt was founded in 1898 under a British-backed concession, functioning as the country's de facto central bank for over half a century despite being a private institution. It wasn't until Nasser's nationalizations of the mid-1950s that the bank was brought under state control, with the Central Bank of Egypt eventually established as a separate entity in 1961. This commemorative marks the 75th anniversary of that original 1898 founding.
The .720 silver alloy used here was Egypt's standard for commemorative issues of this period, shared with several other anniversary pieces from the early 1970s.
