| 背面描述 | A detailed frontal view of the Egyptian National Assembly building (Parliament) occupies the central field, rendered with neoclassical architectural precision showing its domed roof, columned facade, and ornate entrance. Radiating sunbeams emanate from behind the dome and spread across the upper field, symbolizing the dawn of parliamentary governance. The Arabic commemorative legend curves along the lower portion of the field, recording the date of July 22 and the inauguration of the National Assembly. The design is enclosed within a beaded border consistent with the obverse. |

Egypt's National Assembly was inaugurated in July 1957 under Nasser's new single-party constitution, which had been approved by referendum that same year following the dissolution of all political parties after the 1952 revolution. This commemorative was struck specifically to mark that event — one of several issues Egypt produced in the late 1950s tying coinage to Nasser's project of institutional legitimization after the Suez crisis.
The .720 silver fineness places it among Egypt's transitional-era commemoratives, before the Republic shifted to base metal issues in the 1960s.
