The Hijri year 1377 appears to the right and the Common Era year 1958 to the left of the central device. Below the cogwheel, the denomination legend 'قرشاً سورياً' (Syrian Qirsh) is inscribed in Arabic script. The circular legend along the upper periphery repeats the issuer name in Arabic. The whole design is contained within a beaded border.
