| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central design featuring two overlapping cameo portrait medallions of Prince Andrew and Miss Sarah Ferguson facing one another at center, united within a decorative double-cameo frame. Above the conjoined cameos appears the date 1986, while below a lover's-knot tied with ribbons is adorned with sprigs of forget-me-nots, referencing the floral motif associated with the royal couple's wedding. The composition is engraved by Robert Elderton in a detailed relief style befitting a commemorative proof issue. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued to mark the July 1986 marriage of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, this is one of the largest and heaviest coins produced for any British territory commemorative of the decade — 150 grams of sterling silver pressed into a 65mm flan demands serious minting infrastructure that the Falklands itself did not possess. Production was contracted to the Pobjoy Mint in Surrey, which handled the bulk of Falkland Islands coinage throughout the 1980s, a period when the islands were still rebuilding their administrative and economic footing following the 1982 conflict.
