Additional information

The Legend of the Ravens issue belongs to a short-lived Tower of London series the Royal Mint launched in 2019, drawing on the superstition — still officially maintained by the Crown — that if the ravens at the Tower ever leave, the kingdom will fall. Charles II is credited with formalizing the raven residency after astronomers complained the birds were fouling their instruments; his solution was to keep both the ravens and the observatory, though the latter eventually moved to Greenwich.
