Obverse description The Philippine national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield with a sun and three stars above, flanked by a Philippine eagle and a lion as supporters, with a scroll bearing the legend REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS at the base. The shield design reflects the New Society (Bagong Lipunan) heraldic style. The denomination 25 PISO appears prominently in the lower portion of the legend. The circular legend ANG BAGONG LIPUNAN arcs across the upper field, while REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS is inscribed along the lower periphery, with the Franklin Mint mark FM to the right. The border is formed by a ring of raised beads.
