Mansfeld-Seekreis was a rural administrative district in the Prussian province of Saxony, centered on the old copper-mining region around Eisleben. That a local savings institution — not a town council or chamber of commerce — issued emergency currency here in 1920 is itself worth noting. Sparkassen occasionally stepped into the Notgeld gap when municipal authorities were slow or disorganized, and the Mansfelder Seekreis example is among the less commonly encountered institutional issuers from this period.

By 1920, the first wave of necessity-driven Notgeld was giving way to the collectible "Serienscheine" phenomenon. Which side of that line this issue falls on is worth examining before pricing.
