| 表面の説明 | Printed in dark green and black Fraktur (Gothic) script on a light paper ground with a fine cross-hatch guilloche underprint, the obverse carries the heading "Notgeldschein" in large calligraphic lettering at top, below which "Freienohl im Sauerland" appears in bold green Fraktur. At centre, a circular green municipal seal bears an ornate "S" monogram surrounded by the legend "SIGNUM + VRIGANDOLE". The lower portion contains the payment obligation text, a serial number, and two manuscript signatures of the Amtmann and Gemeindevorsteher. |

The right panel contains a stanza of Westphalian dialect verse attributed to "F.W. Grimme" in black Fraktur script. |
