| Obverse description | Printed in red and black on plain paper, the obverse carries a fine guilloche underprint at centre incorporating a stylised eagle motif. The denomination numeral '25' appears in bold black type within oval cartouches at upper left and upper right. The title 'Gutschein der Stadt Goslar' is set in Gothic blackletter script across the upper portion, followed by the written denomination 'über Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig.' A validity clause and redemption text appear in a smaller Gothic hand, dated 'Goslar, im Mai 1917,' below which the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' is stated, accompanied by a manuscript signature. |
