Obverse description The obverse is divided into three vertical panels on a grey ground. The left panel carries the denomination numeral '25' in red within a framed box above the inscription 'PFENNIG' and the series designation 'III. Serie.', with the date '1.9.21.' and the signature of 'Der Magistrat' below. The central panel bears a colour vignette of an old half-timbered house at the market square, captioned 'Altes Haus a. Markt' in script lettering, with the printer's imprint 'Druck von Adolf Forker, Leipzig' along the lower margin. The right panel displays the municipal coat of arms of Jeßnitz — a red-brick tower — above the town name 'JESSNITZ' rendered in bold Gothic lettering, with validity and payment conditions stated below.

Reverse description The reverse is centred on a large colour vignette of the industrial factories at the Dudeldei waterway, rendered in a lithographic style with smoking chimneys, brick factory buildings and a foreground river scene under a dramatic clouded sky. The vignette is framed by an arched border with stylised leaf motifs in white and grey, flanked on each side by the denomination numeral '25' in red. A title cartouche at the top reads 'Fabriken am Dudeldei.' in Gothic script, and a two-line rhyming verse in German script runs along the lower panel.
