Obverse description The obverse is printed in teal-blue ink on cream paper and presents a detailed line-engraved vignette of the medieval town of Gilgenburg as it appeared in the 16th century, with the fortified gate tower, town walls, church spires, and surrounding buildings rendered in fine cross-hatched style. A banner scroll at the top bears the patriotic inscription referring to the plebiscite of 11 July 1920, flanked by decorative floral corner ornaments and geometric guilloche panels at lower left and right. A six-digit serial number is printed in the lower centre of the vignette field, with a caption identifying the townscape running along the bottom border.
