| Obverse description | The obverse is printed on a light green arabesque guilloche underprint enclosed within a black ornamental border. The title "Zweibrücker Gutschein" is set in Gothic script across the upper portion, with the large numeral "25" at centre. The place and date of issue, "Zweibrücken (Pfalz), den 1. August 1917", and the denomination written out as "über fünfundzwanzig Pfennige" appear in letterpress below. Two facsimile signatures are present at the foot, identified by the printed role titles "Der Gemeinde-Einnehmer" and "Der Bürgermeister"; a red serial number and series letter "B" are printed in the upper field. |

A central rectangular text panel carries the redemption notice in Gothic letterpress script, stating the City of Zweibrücken's obligation to pay twenty-five Pfennig on presentation and declaring the note void if not presented at the Stadteinnehmerei I by 31 March 1918. The numeral "25" appears in each of the four corners of the border frame. |
