| Obverse description | A crowned eagle head in profile facing left dominates the center of the field, rendered in bold relief with fine feather detailing. An imperial crown surmounts the eagle's head, its arches and orb clearly delineated. Flanking the central motif on either side are ornate foliate or floral sprays curving along the inner border. The date 1908 appears in the lower field, split to either side of the base of the neck. The entire design is enclosed within a toothed or beaded inner border and an outer milled rim. |
