Reverse description The reverse presents the bold numeral '25' in large, elegantly styled figures occupying the upper portion of the central field, with the denomination inscription PFENNIG set immediately below in serif capitals. The entire denomination device is framed by a wreath composed of two symmetrical stalks of wheat, their heads drooping outward at the upper sides and bound together at the base by a ribbon. Below the wreath, a decorative cartouche encloses the mint mark letter, identifying the issuing mint. The composition, attributed to engraver Otto Schultz, is clean and utilitarian, with the wheat wreath lending an agrarian symbolism appropriate to the period.
