| Obverse description | Left-facing truncated bust of a German soldier wearing a steel helmet (Stahlhelm) and military uniform, rendered in high relief with bold sculptural modelling. The Fraktur legend WEILBURG A/L arcs along the left edge of the octagonal field, while the date 1917 appears vertically along the right side, accompanied by a small Iron Cross emblem.
