| Beschrijving voorzijde | Multicolour notgeld note with a diagonal striped underprint in teal, gold, and black. The central vignette reproduces two historical coin designs: the upper coin dated 1622 bears a standing figure with a barrel and grapes, while the lower coin carries the circular legend GOTTES FREYNDT DER PFAFFEN FEINDT / V. LYNENBURG CHRISTAIN Z. BRAUNSCHWEIG. The denomination 25 PFENNIG appears in large red numerals at upper left and lower right, flanking the issuer legend STADTSPARKASSE in bold diagonal lettering, with a historical caption at foot reading 1622 LIESS DER TOLLE CHRISTIAN AUS DEM GERAUBTEN DOM-SCHATZ OBIGES GELD SCHLAGEN. |

| Opmerkingen |
Paderborn's municipal savings bank issued this note as Notgeld — emergency small-denomination paper filling the chronic coin shortage that gripped Germany from the war years through the early Weimar period. The Ruhfus printing house in Dortmund was a prolific producer of Westphalian Notgeld during precisely this window, turning out notes for dozens of municipalities across the region.
Josef Dominicus as named designer is worth noting — credited artists on Notgeld are less common than the anonymous commercial print jobs, and Dominicus worked on several Paderborn issues during this run.
