正面描述 The obverse is printed in dark grey-green on pale paper and centres on a large circular guilloche medallion bearing the bold numeral '25' flanked by 'PF.' on each side. An ornate scalloped and lace-like border frames the entire face, with decorative corner rosettes. The issuer's name arcs around the medallion in two lines reading 'STÄDTISCHE STRASSENBAHN' at top and 'M.GLADBACH, RHEIDT UND V.S.B.' at the base. A rectangular panel at the foot of the note carries the serial number.

背面描述 The reverse is executed in dark grey-green and centres on a large circular guilloche rosette from which a stylised winged caduceus-like vignette descends, with spread wings and a columnar shaft. The numeral '25' and denomination 'Pfg.' appear in large open letterpress characters above the vignette within the rosette. Arrow motifs point outward from the four corners of the frame, and a rectangular panel at the foot bears the admonition 'Nicht brechen' in bold sans-serif lettering. The printer's imprint 'J.C. König & Ebhardt in Hannover' appears in small type along the lower margin.

备注

Notgeld issued by a municipal tramway authority rather than a bank or civic treasury — an unusual arrangement even by the chaotic standards of early 1920s German emergency coinage. The Mönchengladbach-Rheydt conurbation ran its tram network as a joint municipal venture, and the decision to issue scrip through the transport authority rather than the city administration proper reflects how decentralized the Notgeld system had become by that point.

J. C. König & Ebhardt of Hannover were primarily known as bookbinders and paper goods manufacturers — their appearance on Notgeld commissions was not uncommon, as the surge in demand during 1921–1923 pulled in printers well outside the traditional banknote trade.
