背面描述 Orange and blue letterpress design on cream paper, with a large white owl vignette occupying the left portion of the central field, set against a blue rectangular panel that also carries a silhouette of a church and municipal buildings to the right. The denomination '25 Pfennige' is inscribed in the upper right of the blue panel, and a leafy vine border frames the upper edge of the composition. The issuer's name is rendered in bold Fraktur lettering across the lower portion of the note.

备注

Uelzen's municipal savings bank — the Sparkasse — issued this Notgeld piece during the acute small-change shortage that followed Germany's postwar economic dislocation. Coins had essentially vanished from circulation by 1919–1920, hoarded or melted, forcing hundreds of local authorities and institutions to print their own fractional notes. The Sparkasse had the institutional credibility and administrative structure to make such issues practical at the town level.

At 47 × 33 mm, this is among the smaller Notgeld formats produced — barely larger than a postage stamp, which created real handling and printing challenges.
