| Obverse description | The obverse is framed by a red outer border and an inner green rule, with ornate gold-toned foliate corner vignettes in an Art Nouveau style. The upper portion carries the issuer title "Gutschein der Spar- u. Leihkasse" within an arched panel, while the four corners bear the denomination "25 Pf." in red. A central octagonal text panel contains the redemption conditions in black letterpress Gothic script, below which three facsimile signatures appear above the legend "der Landgemeinde Helgoland"; a decorative heraldic device is printed to the right margin, and a vertical serial number appears along the left margin. |

| Reverse description | The reverse shares the same red outer border and green inner rule as the obverse, with matching gold-toned Art Nouveau foliate corner ornaments and red "25 Pf." denomination numerals at each corner. A central engraved vignette presents a dramatic view of the famous Lange Anna sea stack and the red sandstone cliffs of Helgoland island, rendered in black and brown tones against a light underprint of the issuer text. Above the vignette, a four-line verse in the Heligolandic Frisian dialect is set in bold letterpress, while below the central panel the island's coat of arms — a shield bearing a figure of St. Willibrord in green, red, and white — is flanked by the inscription "Insel Helgoland"; the printer's imprint "H. W. Köbner & Co. G.m.b.H. Altona" appears in the lower right margin. |
