| Beschrijving keerzijde | A detailed architectural vignette occupies the entire reverse field, depicting the Röder Tor (Röder Gate), one of Rothenburg ob der Tauber's most celebrated medieval fortification towers. The composition shows the multi-storied gate tower with its characteristic stepped roofline and arched passageway at ground level, flanked by conifer trees and additional fortification structures rendered in fine pictorial relief. The inscription 'Röder- Tor' appears in Gothic script at the upper left of the field. The manufacturer's legend 'L.CHR.LAUER NUERNBERG' is inscribed along the lower exergue in small Latin capitals. |
