| Obverse description | Green and red letterpress design on cream paper, enclosed within a double-ruled border with an inner green frame. A large stylised numeral '25' in dark green dominates the centre, overlaid by a spread eagle vignette in deep red-brown — the heraldic symbol of Arnstadt. The issuer inscription 'Notgeld der Stadt Arnstadt' appears in Gothic blackletter script along the upper margin, with validity and authorisation texts in Gothic script at the lower left and lower right respectively.
