Obverse description Letterpress-printed notgeld on cream paper within a simulated stone-block border. The central vignette, rendered in black line art, shows a Gothic church with twin spires viewed through a pointed arch supported by decorated columns, with an inscription running along the arch identifying the structure as built by the Countess Palatine around 1000 AD. The denomination '25 Pfennig' appears twice flanking the vignette in bold blackletter script alongside the issuer name 'Neunhofen', with the date '1. Sept. 1921' and the Bürgermeister's signature at lower right, and an expiry notice at lower left.
