| Obverse description | A full-colour lithographed vignette occupies the upper portion of the note, rendering a perspective view of the Lichtenhorst prisoner-of-war camp: a central dirt road flanked by rail tracks recedes into the distance between rows of low barracks with red roofs, trees, and wire fencing, with a canteen building visible at lower right inscribed 'Erfrischungsraum'. The denomination '25 Pfennig' appears in bold Gothic lettering in the upper left and upper right corners against white panels. The lower register carries the text 'Kriegs Gefangenen Lager / Gutschein über 25 Pfennig' in large black Gothic script, with the validating clause 'Dieser Gutschein gilt nur als Zahlmittel im Lager' and the issuing authority 'Die Kantinen Verwaltung' accompanied by a manuscript signature.
