| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central motif depicts a stylized flowering plant or bouquet in a vase, rendered in relief with a decorative, folk-art quality typical of Höhr porcelain craftsmanship. The surrounding legend, separated into two arcing lines, reads 'GEH ICH IN SCHERBEN' along the upper periphery and 'WIRST GLÜCK DU ERBEN' along the lower, forming a rhyming couplet referencing the ceramic nature of the coin. A beaded border frames the entire reverse design. The inscription alludes humorously to the fragility of the porcelain medium, a common motif on German ceramic Notgeld of this period. The relief work is characteristic of the Westerwald region's established tradition of decorative stoneware and porcelain production. |

Höhr, a small town in the Westerwald region of Germany, had been a center of salt-glazed stoneware production since the 16th century. When the postwar metal shortage and rampant inflation made conventional coinage impractical, the town leaned on what it actually had — ceramic expertise. The Westerwald potteries were among the most technically sophisticated in Germany, and several municipalities in the region issued porcelain notgeld through established local kilns rather than contracting with outside mints.
Gray porcelain pieces from this series are notably harder to source than the glazed polychrome variants issued elsewhere.
