| 备注 |
Ahrweiler's 1921 Notgeld series was among the thousands of municipal emergency currency issues produced during Germany's postwar liquidity crisis, when coin shortages left local governments scrambling to cover everyday transactions. Carl Schleicher & Schüll in Düren were prolific suppliers to this market — a paper mill and print house with the capacity to turn small municipal commissions around quickly, which is precisely what the moment demanded.
The DeNG reference suffix indicates a half-pfennig denomination variant within the 25 Pfennig grouping, a granularity that reflects how obsessively this material was catalogued by German collectors almost from the moment of issue.
