| Opis awersu | Printed in green, black, and pink, the obverse is divided into three horizontal pictorial vignettes: at left, a glassblower at a furnace with vessels at his feet; at centre, the Staatsprüfamt Ilmenau building framed by trees; and at right, a laboratory technician engaged in precision glasswork. A bold pink band below the vignettes carries the letterpress inscription NOTGELD·STADT·ILMENAU, with denomination numeral 25 and the abbreviation Pfg. in the lower corners, separated by a decorative guilloche strip of interlocked geometric motifs. The printer's imprint SCHNEIDER & CO. ILMENAU appears in small type at the lower right margin. |
