Aanvullende informatie

Eggenfelden's 1921 notgeld issue belongs to the second wave of German municipal emergency coinage, struck as the Weimar government struggled to keep small-denomination metal coins in circulation. Zinc was the material of necessity — copper and nickel were still being rationed in the postwar economy. Funck#108.2 distinguishes this from at least one other variety in the series, suggesting the city issued multiple die types, likely across different minting contracts.
