Reverse description The reverse features a full-length figure of a scarecrow standing upright in a field, arms outstretched with sticks or poles, surrounded by stylized vegetation and grain stalks. The warning legend 'Hände weg !!' is inscribed in cursive script across the upper field, alluding to the political tensions of the Weimar-era inflation period. Additional information

Eggenfelden's 1921 notgeld issue belongs to the second wave of German municipal emergency coinage, struck as the Weimar government struggled to keep small-denomination metal coins in circulation. Zinc was the material of necessity — copper and nickel were still being rationed in the postwar economy. Funck#108.2 distinguishes this from at least one other variety in the series, suggesting the city issued multiple die types, likely across different minting contracts.
